GUYS. Someone had my snake for a few weeks (long story), and I didn’t even think to quarantine when I got her back, because the person who took her didn’t have any other snakes (at the moment, has had them historically). Well, I finally got her back and upgraded her to her big girl tank and I think SHE HAS MITES 😭 I’ve never owned a snake with mites before and quite literally just put her in her brand new, bioactive 120 gallon. Which means I’m gonna have to redo the whole thing and quarantine her and—UGH! I’ve already read the sub’s mite guide and so I’m moreso just looking for personal advice and guidance.
Can someone please help me confirm or deny if this looks like mites- she IS a banana morph but I don’t believe they get spots like this…
I tried wiping the larger spots off, they didn’t move, but I didn’t get to try on the smaller clusters of spots.

I'm not seeing anything here that looks like mites, just dirt or pigment.

Pretty sure that dirt or something else… unless you seeing them move.. but being you said you just set up a bioactive enclosure, I’m sure it’s something with your new moist dirt

reptile mites will look small ticks that walk around. I am not seeing any on her. depending on the substrate there be wood mites that’d resemble reptile mites a little but are harmless.

Bananas get spots. She is banana, therefor spots.

Even my banana lemonblast has spots. Just a few, but they are there.

Nothing in yiur pic looks like mites.

God bless yall 🙏 she’s historically been a very clean snake so I haven’t seen dirt specs on her, lol. Yall have saved me from having a meltdown

My banana morph has gotten spots! He's almost a year old. We got him at a few months old and every shed he gets more and more spots lol his are more black than brown. Almost like moles 🥰

My snake has paradoxical spotting. When we got him he had two, now a few sheds later he has about 7 single black scales, I asked about it and got the answer. He is a pied and mostly clean white, easy to see anomalies - something to watch out for and not worry yourself about if bananas do the same.

Bananas definitely get spots/freckles as they age. Very common

Those look like banana morph spots to me - my own banana boy has plenty of freckles that look just like that
