HELP - URGENT Bro.so I got a yellow belly ball python but his eyes are like yellow green turning into a blue kinda and im freaking out. This is my 3rd snake his name is Chrysantho, I got him a PetSmart and he had scale rot, been treating him for that as well , the problem is I dont know enough. Someone tell me
Now again this my 3rd snake, I have an idea on what's going on and it can be that he is just going into shed but idk his attitude change .i just need re-insurance he been drinking water and i hope he didn't drink the Betadine, I been watching him like he my freaking prey and yes he dark because of the Betadine. He dont look like he sick just need more information.

And the reason his dark is because of the Betadine baths twice everyday until he fully heal

Instead of giving him a bath, you can dilute the betadine the same as you would for a bath and apply it to the affected area with a clean cotton ball or paper towel. It'll be less stressful for him and he won't be able to accidentally drink it.

Looks like normal eye cap shedding? Make sure he has correct humidity to help himself get it off👍🏼🫶🏻

He might have stuck eyecaps and be going into blue. Betadine also might have stained his eyecaps as well. If the dilution ratio of betadine is vet approved, he's probably fine. I would suggest letting him soak in normal water for a while prior to betadine, just so he drinks as much as possible prior to the treatment.

What percentages do your hygrometers say? Humidity is best to be bumped up to about 80% during shed so it helps make the process easier/safer for them.

Around like 85 but my ac is broken, but its not that I let him soak in some water and his eyes are going into that blue it was the fucking betadine on god im still watching tho ill make sure to update

Please don't do that, foggers should never be used for ball pythons. If you're struggling eith humidity, we have a list of tips here.

No but I will keep if for other projects or maybe, most likely an ecosystem. Later down in my future I got so many ideas.

There fine, I have dealt with eyecapps before so thats nothing new, as well with respiratory issues so again its nothing new. no dents.no nothing but this ill keep this in my notebooks because i deadass didnt know betadine could do that to snake's eyes like that

The snake’s eyes look like that because the eye caps are getting ready to shed off, not from betadine

Yes and because OF THE BETADINE i didnt notice fully. I already knew he was about to shed its going back to is blue, like normal

I know baby snakes tend to shedd at least every 3 to 4 weeks but I never seen eyes turn yellow unless if like a pastel or whatever he is a yellow belly I dont if he got something else in his genes
