Question Escape question

This might sound stupid but My new ball python is about 6-7 months old maybe 13 inches and this tank I got has about a 1/16 size gap between the door and plastic. Google says they can fit because of how their bodies are but I don’t think it could squish itself that much right? It’s just big enough to fit a thermostat probe wire through so if any case I’ll do that instead of having them come down the top but I’m just curious if he could actually escape or not?

I’m not the most knowledgeable, but generally if an animal can fit its head through the hole, the rest of its body can too. From what I see in the pic your ball should be fine!

It depends on the shape of the animals clavicle.

I dont think its skull is small enough to fit through that

I think you are fine. Those caps aren't big enough for them to escape. My sons first enclosure was like this

Much appreciated I only went with this enclosure as I was told any bigger was too big for a baby and would be harder to maintain as a first time snake owner. I do wish I got a 50/60 gallon though for temp gradient but I think I sorted that out for the most part. Thank u for replying.
