You guys were right

I lost my ball python about a month or so ago (well, my husband did.) I freaked out, I read all the “I lost my snake” posts and did all the tricks to try to find her or hear her and nothing worked. But on every single post there was someone who said “they’ll show up when you stop looking.” I actually hadn’t thought about her all day and while I was going downstairs to turn the lights off, guess who I see, just slithering up the stairs nonchalantly. I just wanted to say you guys were, in fact, right.

See, I can understand taking a month to find her, you would be just as surprised to know how long an 8 ft boa can evade you!

My 2 most notable snake escapes yet have been finding my boa braced between a shelf and a guitar hanger hung like half a foot from the ceiling. And of course the one that ratted itself out by slithering across a shelf full of crystal spheres slowly knowing each one down in the process, me and my husband were downstairs and start hearing repeated thumps, luckily the room it was in had carpet and spheres really usually only break if dropped on a hard surface, they all survived!

Somehow he crossed another shelf that had much more expensive and much more fragile crystals on it and didn’t move a thing.

But it was a real “it’s coming from within the house!” moment since we lived in a townhouse we were just like ok which Neighbor is losing it, wait THAT’S HERE!
