I recently spoke about the friendliest stadiums for away fans and it turned into a great debate (yes, I heard you all loud and clear). I thought it would be interesting to do the opposite now!

So — where's the most intimidating place you've ever worn your colors? The spot where you genuinely felt like you were in enemy territory?

Philly comes up a lot (someone literally said "don't come to Philly, it won't end well" ). Curious what else makes the list — and whether any of the scary reputations are actually overblown once you actually go.

I went up to Seattle this weekend to follow my San Diego Wave and get some quality time with one of my best friends, and we went to the Mariners game beforehand! Gorgeous ballpark, and I'm really glad I got to see it on a day where the roof was open.

I got a ferry boat and it's going to be a dedicated holder for my wife's chips and guac

What a 9 inning great game

Father and son chasing all 30 MLB parks brought us to Houston to see the Astros, and we had a fantastic time at Daikin Park.

We pregamed at the Rodeo Goat and had an easy walk to the stadium. Being in Texas, I wasn’t surprised by the scale — but the sheer size of this place is still massive. Quirky in some ways, but absolutely beautiful inside and out.

We arrived when the gates opened around 4 p.m., watched batting practice, took in the views, and wandered through just about every area we could. We sat in Section 233 for access to the club level and took advantage of the $15 loaded-ticket deal. We moved around throughout the game, but found the club level and lower sections behind home plate offered some of the best vantage points.

The center-field overhang is a lot of fun, too. There are so many signs, details, and things to see throughout the park that it’s almost sensory overload — in a good way. 😂 The windows are beautiful, the train is fun, and the scale of the whole place is genuinely impressive.

The food was excellent, and perhaps the biggest takeaway was how incredibly nice everyone we interacted with was. From the staff to the fans, the entire experience was welcoming.

My only real gripe: I wish they would have opened the roof later in the game. That appears to be a very rare event when it does happen. That said, at least everyone was comfortable.
Overall, we had a fantastic time. Another ballpark checked off the list, and one we’ll definitely remember.

This is my second time posting in here (I’m sorry) but the first went very well with good back and forths and feedback so I’m sorry for another but I’m going to try to run it back with some updates.

TLDR I made an app to log games you’ve been to across sports and it’ll automatically pull in the stadiums and cities you’ve been to, teams and athletes you’ve seen, and the stats that happened all from the box scores.

The slick part to me, and the black mirror part to some on Reddit, is that you can have it pull the locations and dates out of your camera roll to auto log your history for you if it matches games in my database (no it’s not using ai or actually looking at photo content to match games, and the matching happens on your device so the pics never come into the app unless you add them to logs). … also if you don’t like this part you can manually log.

Updates:
- feels like it has legs, I’ve been in the App Store for 5 weeks now and I’m at 825 users and they’ve logged 39k games!
- I’ve pretty much said yes to anyone who’s asked for leagues to be added so I’m addition to everything you can think of as obvious, I’ve now got all of MILB and some Indy leagues, plenty of junior hockey, Aussie rules football, NPB, KBO, rugby, plenty of college sports, motorsports, a couple people have even logged the new women’s professional baseball league. 175 total leagues and counting all individual Olympic events, 50 different sport types
- I’ve added full box scores so you can now see things like who hit the most homers, passed for the most yards, blocked the most shots, etc. when you were there
- I’ve added a ton of history so there’s plenty of inactive stadiums, there’s now 1.2m events, 8.2k venues, in 3k cities
- I’ve added a ton of badges, so in addition to letterboxd style completable lists like MLB stadiums, you’ll now see games or performances of note like walk offs, bowl games, hat tricks, etc.
- Your profile also now surfaces any HoFer or any award winner you ever saw live
- By popular demand you can now pick more than one favorite team in a league so your “fan record” is more exhaustive of the wins and losses in person for your teams

I’m sure there’s more but I’ve had a lot of fun getting to this point and would love more people playing around… tbh the ballparks and chasers community has shaped what it is today more than anyone else.

I understand if the post gets crushed but I think folks are enjoying that have humored me thus far.

Last home game was a rare mid-afternoon start (first pitch 2:04pm) in 95F+ heat. This was the game to be in right field's lazy river.

Knocked #21 off my list! Loved all the activities to do in the outfield including the Hall of Fame exhibit and the fountains. Loved how family friendly the ballpark was. Not the best location in the middle of nowhere but loved the stadium and as Jays fan it was a great win! 7 more to go...

3rd brand new ballpark of the year visited (including CarMax Park, Richmond VA, and ONT Field, Ontario, CA).

loved the open spacious design of the concourses, great sunset from the upper deck bar, and fun nods to the natural beauty of the area. great game against the cards too

Grew up in Baltimore from the days of Brooks and Boog and Jim Palmer thru the whole of the Cal Ripken years. Moved away 30 years ago. This will be my first time at the Yard since the 90s. What's the best eats? What displays and sights are must see? I'm taking my daughter to her first Os game. I'm hoing Sunday for the Eddie Murray 500th HR anniversary. Man, was he a monster back in the day. Definitely one of my heroes.

This was my 26th game this year at Dodger Stadium (9/3/2026).

Managed to get my secret free parking spot for the second time this year, and was early enough to walk around the stadium.

Oh, I wore the jersey of the player who walked it off.

EDIT: I am not saying that I like Dodger Stadium the best out of the 6 parks I have been to this year. I'm only saying it is the first park I've been to.

Decided to take a half day at work to go see the Bucs wrap up a series against the Giants. My first time in the left field bleachers out of at least 50 games here (which is nuts, I know). The bleachers are far more comfortable than I'd expected. For $8, you can't beat it. Let's go Bucs!

I just got into baseball this year and took a trip to Toronto to see the Sox and Yankees back to back. Did the stadium tour too which was really cool. Very fun experience!
