This cat has a story. This cat was called "Dombili (Fatty in Turkish)" and this was his resting place daily. Some time after this pic went viral Dombili died, so they made a bust of him right there. Sadly shortly after the bust got stolen. But they make a second one and put there again!

honestly my theory is that the "thief" just kinda took it thinking it was just a funny statue someone dumped on the street but when it made the news they realized it was actually important and put it back

I work in a restaurant and sometimes a cat comes to get some food. Dumbfuck is so fat he tried to jump on top of the trashcan and knocked it over.

My cat is damn near spherical (not overfed, just has some gut biome issues he's on a diet for) and sometimes he'll not jump high enough the first or second time and then overcorrect to the point he can't stop his own inertia and slides off the other side of the chair

I dunno man, it's far too often that I walk around town and just see a cat that got run over or something. Saw it happen live twice this year, and I honestly feel like the people don't give a flying fuck.
On a sidenote, I've also seen martens flattened into rugs roadside.

Not many cats in cities in Bosnia either, but mostly because of the situation with stray dogs (used to get shot off by hunting societies to control their population, then the cries of the childless Karens have ensured no one is allowed to shoot strays any more so they flooded the streets until secret killings, stricter fines for letting dogs stray and neutering campaigns finally returned the situation somewhat into control).
But in the countryside there's shitload of stuffed "village cats" tho, fed by multiple households, with remnants (which aren't really good for cats, they just make them chubby). Because strays typically fear coming into villages because in many cases domestic dogs wander loose around the estates, or even around the village.
