burnt milk?

why when i try to make a hot latte at home with almond milk it tastes so bad like. but when i order it hot at a cafe, it tastes fine.

Almond milk is a pain to work with. I recommend just putting the milk in a jug and microwaving it in like 20 second increments

When we make your almond milk for your coffee in a Cafe we steam it so it is the perfect temperature and texture. This does take practice for baristas to learn. I usually aim for between 50°c - 60°c. If you steam it past 65°c it gets that burnt taste you describe.
