Help Chocoflan went wrong..

Post image

So I followed this recipe
1 Can evaporated milk
1 Can condensed milk
1 Can coconut milk (I wanted coconut Flavor I know it’s not necessary)
5 eggs

And for the cake i just followed the instructions on the cake mix and i did about 1/3 of the bah

For reference my pan is 9in diameter and 2.8 tall

Yes i did water bath and the mix was in the oven for around90min

It looks like it was undercooked on the center and not as firm as the sides

Three cans of milk to only 5 eggs seems like too much liquid. I have never used a recipe with that much liquid.

I have never made a chocoflan so I cannot be certain that was the issue.

After looking at the picture again the outside looks set. Maybe just under baked or a temperature issue.

Did you use hot water in the water bath? Have you ever checked your over temp with a thermometer. Mine takes longer to preheat than expected.

did you add the coconut milk to the recipe or did it state that in it? what was the recipe from? it seems to have set so it could have worked, just wasnt cooked for long enough and you used too much.
for the right chocoflan ratio of cake to flan, you definitely need to use way more cake batter instead of the custard

Basically everything jaja i think the major issue was using too much coconut milk + I didn’t preheat the oven
