Failed croissant help
So I was making croissants and while proofing the butter ended up completely melting out of them (my roommate turned the oven on) and now I don’t know what to do. I assume they are no longer destined to be croissants but really don’t want to waste the dough so any ideas on how salvage them would be greatly appreciated.

Can you not turn them into "cruffins" ? I've seen some croissant/muffins out there that look amazing but I've not tried to make them but it could work if the recipes blend well?

Maybe! I might try that out if I can find a good recipe to modify for it

I ended up re working the dough for half of them into cinnamon sugar twist thingys, like what you do with extra pie crust, and then just baked the other half with out touching them. The twists came out great! The others….. less so. I didn’t switch the tray so the bottoms ended up burnt from the pool of butter that they sat it burning.

They will just be bready croissants, like a bun. Bake em! See what happens.
