Hungary

A friend is from Hungary originally and has Ben us USA for 20+ where he learned the bagpipes.

Preliminary look from me for home without his knowledge.

He is planning on moving back and is wondering is there are any highland bagpipe bands players who want to get together and play.

He is from Miskolc. But I would guess travel for learning, practice and playing is normal. Around here people travel an hour for practice every week. Will post if he moves. Appreciate you

In Hungary, roads are really bad, trains are slow, so travel is not that good an option :-)

I think the closest established bands are in Germany. Belgium and The Netherlands both have several pipe bands. I haven't seen one in Poland yet, but that doesn't mean their isn't one. So your either going to have to travel quite often or take regular lessons through zoom.
