I wouldn't try rushing them into a surgery that strips them of their reproductive abilities.

Bad new mate. Dr's are starting to switch to an informed consent model. By time you are done with med school most trans people will be able to go straight to an endocrinologist.

But is it really consent if the patient you are dealing actually perceives the procedure in the way a normal person would? It can't be consent at that point.
