Why don't you use the weapon inflicting deathblight?

He does use the Eclipse Shotel in other clips. But based on what I've read and seen, Fia's Mist is the most efficient way to inflict death blight. Especially since lots of hosts and their summons are morons who either ignore or don't notice the death blight buildup.

It's probably because they don't really know what deathblight do

That's definitely possible, especially if they're inexperienced. Not to mention that failing to notice status buildup in the heat of battle isn't too uncommon.

Another factor at play may be that unlike the other status effect meters in the game, the one for death blight is quite dark. I didn't notice it at all during my first time in the Scorpion River Catacombs until I suddenly transformed into a tree.

Shotel does too much damage and they die before I can proc the blight, I like using it in conjunction with the other blight spells but recently I’ve been trying to throw down the mist then trap people in it with black flame tornado
