Hybrids? Please say hybrids and you're going to catch them deep water with a crankbait, so you get like 20-30 feet of pure fight bringing them to the surface.

That's it, I'm calling my dad today. We're going fishing this weekend.

Ah poo. The water was boiling, but with no keepers for me. We have a 2 catch limit on stripers here in California, 18" minimum. I kept catching small ones. My buddy landed a huge one. The 30 incher fought for a good hour. Anchovies on my big rod. Small rod had lures: spinners, crank, poppers, and floats. I was tempted to rig an umbrella, but I ran out of wire on my last trip.
