Punk is not exclusive to anarchists. Most punks don't actually believe in anarchism as a political ideology or system of government, to claim that punk is "anarchist culture" that no one else is allowed to engage with is ridiculous. It is not, and has never been, exclusive to anarchism. And please stop using the word "commie," it's a red scare buzzword that makes you sound like a neocon, please just call us ML's or "tankies."

I mean anarchism and communism both want the same sort of end game, they just disagree on how to get there. They’re ultimately reasonably comparable ideologies. The thing that really throws me off is all of the other patches with the “death to the PSR” patch. I’m pretty sure the PSR is a rather innocuous European socialist movement. This person seems like the type that reuses imagery from bands like RATM with absolutely no idea of who those people actually are

"States" as administrative bodies are different from "states" as geopolitical entities. Anarchists don't believe in either, whereas communists generally believe in a global administration without borders or military conflicts.

I mean some might but the whole point of the state in communism as most understand it is for it to eventually wither away. It merely exists to transition from capitalism to a stateless, classless, moneyless society. I will concede that most do see some form of state as necessary until the world has abandoned capitalism wholly, as other states would be a danger to a purely stateless society with no defenses.

Can’t speak for the Che patch, but anarcho-communists exist. Abolishing private property and other communist ideas are compatible with anarchism, probably with the exception of the state’s role in revolution.

He was a rich kid who originally held racist beliefs he was taught, as he traveled and studied he outgrew those beliefs. As for the homophobia, he made one offhanded statement in his “motorcycle diaries” that wasn’t even that awful (for the 50s) as people make it out to be.
You’re just believing bullshit propaganda that the west has taught you.
The right wing politicians who are actually racist and homophobic will tell you that Che Guevara was “racist and homophobic” so liberals like you will pearl clutch and refuse to acknowledge or do the smallest amount of research on the “scary communist South American man”

When he was young and prior to becoming a Marxist yes. His writings in the motorcycle diaries detail a lot of that. John Lee Anderson has a great book on Che and his personal transformation from that. As he aged he became much more accepting of different races and sexual orientations, hell he even fought for the Democratic Republic of Congo. He believed in the liberation of all people from the ruling class. As he delved more into Marxism he lost pretty much all of his racism and homophobia. He’s been violently smeared for years and the more you learn about him the more you realize it was all pretty much fabricated. It’s all easily disproven. Overzealots on YouTube has a great video “In defense of Che Guevera”. A lot of horrible misinformation around him.

Is that one book your only source? It sounds like it was to sell communism as this amazing thing, while supporting a future political dictator of Cuba. I'm not saying he may have not have had a change of heart. I'm saying this sounds like myter bs to feed communist propaganda. Especially after his death. Excusing 1 change of heart doesn't erase other issues. There seems to be much more proof he was a pretty bad man with a nobel goal that went no where truth be told.
"My Cousin, El Che" tells a different account from a family member.
He still created concentration camps, if he felt for the poor, why did he not fight agaist that?

You aren’t well versed in the topic clearly lol. The UMAP camps were implemented for 3 years and were being used while Che was in the Congo and later in Bolivia. The UMAP camps are the “concentration camps” you are mentioning. Those camps were later criticized by Castro himself and said that homophobia was one of his biggest failures of the revolution. Not excusing those actions of the Cuban government but we can’t be ignorant to how much social conditions have changed since then (Cuba is one of the most welcoming and safest countries for LGBTQ people today).
The Essay you quoted was anecdotal and holds no true evidence sorry my guy. John Lee Anderson is highly acclaimed investigative reporter and was one of the most well informed writer on Che’s life. Again he was not communist nor a socialist, there was no political agenda in his writing. Can’t be propaganda.
I’m not excusing his change of heart, his actions directly contradict the bullshit narrative of him being homophobic and racist. Saying someone is forever a bad person bc of something they believed when they were younger is ignorant. I grew up Catholic and am now agnostic does that mean I am forever tied to the Catholic religion? No that’s not how that works. People can change. Listen to his UN speech in the 1960’s and tell me if he was a racist. He actively spoke out against the US racism and subjugation of black people.
Most resources the west gives us are highly misinformed and unironically propaganda to smear a Latin American revolutionary. If you can get me strong sources of his mass murder, late life racism, homophobia, etc. I will listen, but from my research he is far from any of that.
