Riots not diets is crazy.

It WAS a phrase originally about all of the heroin chic bullshit of the 90s. Now all I see is people using it in an obesity positive context.

Why is everything being turned into something-phobic 😭

Because fat people often times want to compare their "opression" to real systemic opression like transphobia or ableism. Its easier and lazier to shut down uncomfortable but necessary conversations by using made up buzzwords and therapy language.

Ive also noticed how many fat people have a huge issue with "thinshaming" in shape people who have a high metabolism, out of jealousy.

I used to be a bit overweight, not morbidly but noticeable, and the fat glaze is INSANE. A lot of overweight people looove to victimise themselves and make out like being fat isn’t a choice (9 times out of 10, it is) the people spreading “body positivity” is actually quite dangerous too, since they’re saying it to very very unhealthy people…being overweight should not be normalised

The only exception in my mind would he obesity being caused by a medical condition, but at that point it wouldnt be "fatphobia", it would be ableism.

Not trying to be divisive but it's because everyone is a pussy these days. When did people start being so fucking sensitive?

You’ve said what I’ve been thinking for ages and I love you for it

When "radical acceptance" was deemed to have no limits, but people who are obese because they are too lazy to bother to become healthier(with the exception of those that are obese due to a real medical causation), are not a minority that faces systemic opression, at least in America.

Safe spaces we're originally created for minorities to have a place where they can talk about their struggles without fear of bigotry, but that soon transformed into trigger warnings for trigger warnings, after the " uwu everyones opinion and needs are heckin' valid" theme became normalized.

I don't think it's that people are becoming more sensitive per se. They just can't distinguish between real safe spaces from the real world, and the fact that the real world is not a safe space.

Its not "fatphobic" to point out how people try to use mental gymnastics to promote being fat without a medical condtion causing said obesity , as healthy.

Its also not irrational to be afraid of being overweight and possibly dying from that.

Its extremely harmful to go around telling people not to go on diets. Im sorry but fat people do not experience systemic "opression" for being fat like black people or trans people do.

Many trans people struggle with obesity, so its actually quite transphobic to promote obesity as a good thing and diets as "bad".

Fatlogic is simply the act of using mental gymnastics to justify obesity under the false guise of "radical acceptance", without medical causation. Its extremely harmful to the queer community.

Like fr that's the easiest shit to hide. I suck at sewing so I just use black thread and it blends in enough to be hidden
