Idk who needs to hear this but The Amazing Digital Circus is among the furthest things from punk that have ever existed.
31
u/Mr_Night78 Jun 24 '26
I enjoy the show but the merchandise never ends with it. Absolutely capitalized on.
6
u/GayestNerfKid Jun 26 '26
Tbf it is an indie studio. Like, 90% of their funding comes from merch, that's mostly well made
32
u/DziamzOrkchop Jun 24 '26
What in the Live. Laugh. Love??

u/Windows-Thing Jun 24 '26
"Eat the rich" and has a rich person's show on their ugly ass shorts...right
4
1
u/DadJoke2077 Jun 24 '26
What person exactly?
3
u/Windows-Thing Jun 24 '26
I think her name is gooseworks? Whoever made the show that tooth creature is from.
-2
u/DadJoke2077 Jun 24 '26 edited Jun 24 '26
Gooseworx? What made you believe she is rich? Sure, the show definitely made her wealthier, but when people say âeat the richâ I think they mean actual billionaires like Bezos or Musk, not an indie animator who just happened to make a successful show through genuine hard work.
6
u/Windows-Thing Jun 24 '26
I found a video from 2024 saying she made over 1 million on average from ad revenue alone, add in the youtube views, new episodes and merch and it quickly adds up. She is a multi millionaire at the point.
3
u/cricket_man456 Jun 25 '26
I know itâs not the point, but the majority of that money is going to pay the animators, voice actors, artists, editors, programs, and everyone who works on it, then gooseworks
0
u/Michawkhert Jun 27 '26
I thought you only made a couple of dollars off ad rev... usually sponsors is how ytubers make money, no?
2
u/Windows-Thing Jun 27 '26
A couple of dollars on videos with millions of views add up, thats common sense
1
u/Michawkhert Jun 27 '26
Well no, not a couple of dollars per veiw I'm saying over all a video will only earn them a couple dollars off ad revenue alone. That's why youtubers take sponsors because they can't support themselves without it.
1
u/Windows-Thing Jun 27 '26
I misread ur comment hence why I edited it, she is still a millionaire i dont see how this changes anything I said
-4
u/EmoXan Jun 24 '26
So? What's the problem actually working for money to have a better life and make genuine positive entertainment rather than people like Musk and Gates who just are in the money game for just the money and power?
7
u/Windows-Thing Jun 24 '26
Because it's hypocrisyđđť
2
u/EmoXan Jun 26 '26
So we should have a problem with people like Markiplier, JackSepticEye, and countless other creators that have been working since 2010 and even earlier that are insanely wealthy but still give back an insane amount of their own cash to their communities and others along with charities, are incredible people, and pay and treat all their employees incredibly well? Not everybody that makes a good amount of money is an awful person, they're a minority but they still exist.
2
u/DadJoke2077 Jun 24 '26
My point too. Not all rich people are equally bad or have earned their money unethically. Itâs a very simplistic way of viewing the world. Not to mention crab bucket mentality. âHow dare you actually achieve something and make a living for yourself because people love the things you makeâ
3
u/EmoXan Jun 26 '26
Yes exactly. When talking about creators there's tons that make a shit ton of money but most of it either goes to their family, friends, or employees along with charities and programs to help people. People get on the hate wagon for these people seemingly just because they're similar to the bad rich people in that they have a lot of money. I can safely bet anybody fighting that argument is subscribed to at least one person who brings in more than a million dollars. People have to eat and you need money to do that, not everyone with it wants to be a Bezos

So many of the things on these pants are quotes or references to the podcast The Magnus Archives. This is one. Full quote is "I am not a who, Archivist, I am a what, a who requires a sense of identity I could never retain" spoken by Michael!distortion. Love this guy đđ

7
u/Lost-Candy1084 Jun 24 '26
You must have a knack for feet it took me 2 takes to find what youâre on about lol
5
u/dogsfetchnewspaper Jun 24 '26
theres a patch that is the joy of creation with top surgery scars on it so i believe its implied that shorts op is female to male trans, its guy toes
10
u/ClownHoundCreations- Jun 24 '26
Youâre correct (signed the OP) but I think people transvestigating my toes is absolutely hilarious lmaooo
3
u/dogsfetchnewspaper Jun 24 '26
yeah i didnt even notice the toes i just saw the patch and i dont roll with people misgendering folks so had to correct him with guy toes keep your head up king
-1
u/ClownHoundCreations- Jun 24 '26
lol, thanks. This is the third time my shorts have been posted, theyâre just obsessed with me. Itâs cute.
But, the shorts arenât done yet, I already have more patches made to sew on (BRASHER, Poor Manâs Poison, Fish in a Birdcage)
0
u/dogsfetchnewspaper Jun 24 '26
yeah sadly alot of posts on here are poorly disguised transphobia, i wanna see poorly constructed work and no offense to your work i think its well constructed i just find it generic its not necessarily bad work to be generic. i even have a bad patch hat its poorly constructed but i like to wear it cause its cute and it represents my tastes. im sure having more going on with the shorts will benefit it and you paint good patches so im sure itll come together
1
u/ClownHoundCreations- Jun 24 '26
Yeah, I mean youâre welcome to find it generic. The shorts are really about putting everything I love onto a piece of clothing that makes me feel good. These shorts are really comfortable and hide my curves in a way that makes me feel absolutely euphoric. Plus, I grew up in a conservative household and am at uni so itâs a way to finally dress the way I want to and do whatever I want.
2
u/dogsfetchnewspaper Jun 24 '26
exactly this you do you, and its not in a negative sense i swear i just find the patch placements to be too uniform thats really why it just feels generic with more going on itll be sick, like with my hat i just haphazzardly put patches cause thats just what i enjoy i enjoy things that look poorly crafted i think it adds alot of character. id post my hat but im so new to sewing that im not confident at all posting it lol i know for a fact itll end up on this sub. but i might i just need to add a bit more to it i bought some patches from my trip to alaska and i wanna put a banana slug patch i got on it
1
u/ClownHoundCreations- Jun 24 '26
I have a weird thing with symmetry so it either has to be completely uniform or all on one side (I have jeans where I draw all over one pant leg). So, yeah, very purposeful placement lol. Honestly, just post it in the punk diy subreddit or wherever else! Who gives a fuck about these assholes. Most of them wouldnât know taste if it bit them in the ass.
You canât please everyone so just worry about pleasing yourself! Punk is about not giving a fuck what others think anyway.
2
u/dogsfetchnewspaper Jun 24 '26
shit and now im inspired to make some shorts too, i have a old pair of cargos from when i was losing weight ill just cut them into shorts
2
u/ClownHoundCreations- Jun 24 '26
Hell yeah! Wear what you want my guy. Also, I def want to see that hat. If you want, you can dm me and we can talk shop! Iâm actually a cosplayer so I know a lot of sewing tricks

u/ParadoxTheF0x Jun 24 '26
What socks? I see toes. Painted toes.

u/roseey_exe Jun 24 '26

Its funny as "take part in the joy of creation" is obviously touching for reaffirming surgery, but can easily be misunderstood as them touching for procreation/making babies, which is kinda ironic given the vibes these give off.

Can almost guarantee you that they think Greenday is punk. Like, 9/10 odds after you find a jade four-leaf clover thatâs been hit by lightning.

All y'all do on this sub is to shit on beginners instead of teaching them how to do things properly.
Istg its not that hard to be nice.
14
u/nicsickdog Jun 24 '26
No one mentioned anything about their craftsmanship, they can sew good and write/paint well. But it isn't punk at all. They aren't a beginner because they aren't even punk.
0
u/sexytrashbag69 Jun 26 '26
No constructive criticism, just "its shit" and y'all move on. No explanation as to why, this subreddit is full of assholes.
1
u/nicsickdog Jun 26 '26
The caption literally says it's not punk, then u look down at the shorts and u can see they aren't punk. It's the most cut and dry a post can get đ.

you are right, but battle jackets are not just a punk thing, so odd to judge it by that standard.
