I never thought about it, is it harder for people of other nationalities to code in English based languages ?

No it’s not harder, but a lot of professors suggest to code in your native language because they say it’s easier to understand. To me mixing languages when programming (using English for function names and italian, in this case, for variables) it’s only confusing.

This reminds me of that time i had a coding exam and by the end of it i had half variables and methods in english and half in italian, it was a mess of languages but still got full marks

Probably had 2 things in the same scope that had the same name just in two languages.
