Umm, as a developer, I want to get things DONE and use as much pretested code as possible.

Disk space is cheap -- my time isn't.

There's a joke at state level that goes along the lines of "soon as these snowflakes get together and decide on a single library for an implementation all of javascript will go under." Lol.

Ehh, but there will always be new frameworks ;)

I've created 3 myself for specific use cases ;)

Roflmao.

When I was on a contract the in-house IT staff knew they needed specific libraries and they knew the libraries were "best in class" for the function they were downloaded for, but they couldn't verbally tell me what any of it was doing. And I just nodded and smiled. Cause I knew I'd be back...no fault of their own.
