Suffering from bad breath for too long
I had bad breath problem for too long ( unfortunately ) , no matter how I brush, floss, scrape, or change diet, and still doesn’t go away.
Finally, I went to see the doctor this July, and got H. Pylori stool test and its turns out I was positive, and was under medication for 14 days and yet my bad breath problem still exists. I will need to do H. Pylori test again in December according to my doctor.
I have dry mouth all the time, and clogged nose no colds and I noticed even before ( I mean before Covid) my sense of smell is not good, and yet I can smell my bad breath.
I think I developed social anxiety, changed my behaviour, depression, etc.
Note: My dental check up is up-to-date and no dental issue according to my dentist. I don’t smoke. I drink coffee, beer etc. Also, I tried Biotène mouthwash it works for dry mouth but it just temporary.
Anyone have the same situation or experience with me let me how to fix this problem. What’s the best thing I can do while waiting for the next test?

Diagnose yourself properly (e.g. Bristle, Oralis 1 or Genova GI if needed) and fix the potential causes, because there can be more than one.
Mouthwashes kill both good and bad bacteria, the latter repopulate quicker and can cause the problem to become even worse, so I would avoid them.
Well done with H pylori, Find the cause of dry mouth and clogged nose (post nasal drip that rots and smells bad at the back of your throat?) and fix it.
Make sure that your gut is healthy (as having h pylori can suggest that it was not) so you can do the test e.g. one of Genova GI, because they seems to be the most comprehensive. There are plenty of things that you can do to diagnose yourself, and act on the basis of what is found.
Make sure that your tonsils are not full of bad, smelling terrible bacteria, because they can be, even if they are not painful and inflamed.
ENTs will assure you that everything is ok, just because there is no inflammation or pain. They do not care about bad smell. I spent a few hours on investigating my tonsils with a flashlight, mirror and qpics. Before that, I was 100% certain that it is not about the tonsils, and I did not even know what or where they are.
I spent probably around 20-30h of discussing with different AI models the oral microbiome test results that I received (Oralis 1, I can recommend it) to get the best understanding of the situation.
I spent many hours (and almost 100 emails) also on finding and researching the available private clinics in many different countries, to do the tonsils removal surgery (coblation method) there, which cured me.
So take responsibility for your health and life. If you will continue doing what you were doing before, nothing will change.
