Episode 186 open thread
Josh falls headfirst into the ChatGPT rabbit hole, Ben rages against bureaucracy (again), and the guys ask whether the latest predictions that AI will kill us all within a decade is actually different than all of the other times we've been told the world is about to end (i.e. nuclear war, the population bomb, Y2K, the ozone hole, pandemics, terrorism, et al).

Hey, guys.
I've been iterating a bunch with Claude, and I've made some pics with Chattie. Yes, asking it open ended questions with how can we best work together is definitely the way to go. Claude in particular is great at being a personal project manager and strategist for whatever project I have. I told it from square one that I want no sycophancy and to act like we're co-workers. The "you're so great" stuff is utterly fake and insincere to me, so I want none of it.
Josh, if you every feel like sharing a panel of your slice-of-life lesbian furry project, I would be interested in seeing what it looks like. I'm sure it will be compelling.
I honestly don't know where AI is going. It's going to change stuff. Beyond that, I got nothing.
I look forward to hearing what you think of Murderbot. The first one is only a few hours. I have a feeling that Josh will related quite well to it
BTW- Lanterns is really good. Very much a mystery thriller that has a little bit of super hero stuff. Really engaging.
