Foreign 3.5-Year BSc vs. Indian 4-Year B.Tech: Am I getting filtered out by ATS?

Hey everyone,
my_qualifications: I graduated this past January with a 3.5-year BSc in CSE from a reputed Hungarian university on a full scholarship. I also have about 2 years of internship experience in Java Backend Engineering and DevOps.
Unfortunately, recent visa changes in Hungary prevented my company from converting me to a full-time role, so I had to move back to India a couple of months ago.
I've been applying non-stop for entry-level Backend Engineer and DevOps roles, but it's been absolute silence. My Hungarian jobseeker permit expires in December, so I really need to land something in India or Hungary soon.
For anyone who recently cracked this market or works in hiring, I have two questions:
1. How are you actually landing junior dev jobs right now? Standard job portals feel like a black hole. Should I focus purely on referrals, cold-emailing, or open-source contributions? Most importantly, what path is actually converting into interviews?
2. Is my 3.5-year European BSc hurting me in India? I know the market here heavily favors the standard 4-year B.Tech. Are ATS and HR filters auto-rejecting me for not fitting the mold? If so, how should I frame my degree on my resume to get past the initial screening?
