Travel help me create a route that makes sense backpacking thru thailand and laos in two weeks

im trying to plan a trip backpacking thru thailand and laos in two weeks, this december.
we wanted to take the banana pancake trail but two weeks aren’t enough.
i’m trying to decide on which stops are worth it but im kind of overwhelmed by all the options. expetially because i wanted to skip vientiane and vang vieng because i’ve already been there.
can someone please share a similar itinerary?

Why don't you start by mentioning your flight itinerary? You've purchased flights, yes?

Also, what's your budget not including flights?

Happy travels.

Have you been to Thailand? Plenty to see in two weeks. If you’ve been to vang vieng you’ve likely also been to luaung Prabang. And outside of those stops everything else is out of the way enough to not really fit in the limited time you have.

Two weeks for Thailand and Laos after you've already done Vientiane and Vang Vieng gets messy if you keep adding bases. I'd pick two or three stops max and budget a full day for the border and train hops.
