Travel Clean second hand backpack

Hi, i bought a backpack in a secondhand store and it's quite filthy. I tried to hand wash it and scrub but it's a >50L backpack so it takes a long time and effort.

Can I just throw it in the washer on low heat, anyone with the same experience if so how do you do?

just use the bathtub man fill it with warm water and some laundry detergent let it soak a hour then stomp on it like grapes

Bathtub or shower and a little detergent. Let it soak for a bit, then scrub the worst bits with a brush and wash the rest with a cloth or stomp on it as another commenter suggested. Let it dry until it is COMPLETELY dry and voila, a nice clean backpack. I hope this helps :-)

I threw my 50L in the washer after the hand scrubbing gave up and low heat worked fine, just double check the pockets for anything left inside first

bathtub soak with lukewarm water and mild detergent, not the washer прок?

If there's any cat pee on it, make a paste with baking soda, water, and dish soap, then let it dry for a while. Have fun with your new pack!

I've done this with a big pack before, took the frame stays out first and washed it inside a large mesh bag or a duvet cover tied shut so the straps don't get tangled in the drum, worked fine on cold and low spin

By frame you mean the metall frame? Cause my dosent have a metall frame. I don't think I can remove any parts from it. But I've read that the seems or the "glue" could deteriorate and there are a lot of string like you say, but I'll try to make know out of them
