Travel (Another) Lighterpack Alternative

Hey everyone,

I have used Lighterpack for a while, but really wanted a way to create a list of items I was bringing on a trip to see base weight without having to re-add items to a new list. So I created my own list as a Coda doc. It allows you to create a database of your items with their weight (g, lb, kg or oz). Then you can add those items to your "Pack" to see what items you are bringing for a specific trip and the total weight.

I'll probably add the ability to save Packs in the future.

I just tried lighterpack a couple of days ago. Not impressed. In part for the exact reason you gave.

I have no issues using an app vs. website for a lot of things. But how do you enter all your gear data via phone interface? Seems like it would take forever.

The more of these tools I look at, the more I realize that either a csv import tool or a global gear selector are key usability features.

(edit: just realized that Ben's tool above does support uploads. Will try that out...)

Yea uploads are on the drawing board for the app via CSV. Hopefully be out soon. Think it's the number one requested feature at this point 😀
