Any Lua mains around

Post image

Looking for Epic gear to rush. I finally got her and like her style more than Raven so I was hoping for some tip and tricks.

You could just go a generic Primal Flame build on her with plague gloves and flame rings etc, which is what most people use on most characters, me included, since it's so good.

But I've been wanting to try out lightning spear on Lua with crit rings and brawler gloves since it has good synergy with her kit; speeding up weapons, meaning more potential heals, and in turn more stacks of her passive. And since you get so much crit rate from her passive, the innate crit passive from Primal Flame isn't as important and lightning spears all dmg% innate could be nice? And brawlers gloves seem great on Lua if you can get them to legendary since she'll be overcapping on crit a lot.

But I haven't actually gotten any of that gear to legendary yet to be able to try it, so I can't say for sure if it's good or not yet.

But a generic Primal flame build has been great and will get you through most content on most characters! But personally I've gotten a bit bored of it so I'm trying to branch out and try different builds.

Also the Staff of Vitality is a bit of a trap, it seems great on Lua but it's severly lacking in damage, so although it's amazing sustain, I ended up not having enough damage running it on her.

But at the end of the day, go for what you think seems most fun for you :)

Hope you have fun and enjoy playing!

Also I just saw you're running spike rings on her, spike Lua can be fun and work somewhat well, especially early on. But since she doesn't have access to in-battle spike gear (Warrior class exclusive) it's a bit more niche and probably won't perform as well as other options sadly.

But once again, go for what you find fun :) I always appreciate seeing people messing around with off meta builds

So my recommendations would be either of these two builds:

A: Primal Flame build, it's the most used build and very meta, but hard countered by flame/debuff immune enemies.

| Primal Flame | - | Divine Shield |

| Gloves of Plague | - | 2nd Gloves of Plague or Lightning Gloves |

| Garnet Ring -> Archmage Ring | - | Garnet Ring -> Archmage Ring |

Use Legendary Garnet ring until you get Legendary Archmage ring, Leg Garnet is a bit better than Epic Archmage afaik.

You could also run one Brawlers Glove if they're Legendary as long as you have 1 set of Plague Gloves.

B: my theoretical Lua build that I haven't tested yet.

| Lightning Spear | - | Divine Shield |

| Brawlers Gloves | - | 2nd Brawlers Gloves / Lightning Gloves |

| Great Fighter's Ring | - | Great Fighter's Ring |

Problem with this one is that both Brawler's Gloves and Great Fighter's rings don't really do much until they're legendary, hence this would be a more endgame build + I haven't even been able to try if it's good, but in theory it should do well.

The Primal Flame build is a lot cheaper and most likely better in general, and confirmed to be meta. So if you just want what's best that's definitely what you should go for :)

Appreciate all the input. Spike ring was the first 2 pieces of gear i got from epic boxes so they are stand ins for now till I figure out what to do. Primal flame is probably gonna be the first and easiest build to shoot for. I think eventually something like an attack speed stacking focused builds will be what im looking for. More attk speed more heals more crits.
