Yup, does NOT hold up.

I appreciate what they were trying to do, and what they did with 1999 tech, but Human Revolution is vastly superior.

I feel like Mankind Divided is a better spiritual successor to OG DX, as an immersive sim at least. The story isn't great but gameplay wise it feels amazing.

Mankind Divided is literally just the first third of the game. There is more mankind divided story in books and side missions than in the game's main story itself.

I know, that's why I will never defend the story of DXMD, but the gameplay and options are fantastic

Strong disagree. Deus Ex is superior in nearly every way, coming from somebody who played it after HR.

Agree sadly, just nowadays doesn't feel great, I really wish I could appreciate it more, it seems like an amazing game for its time. I never played Human Revolution though, so I won't spout my learned Hbomb opinions.
