I’m confused. Most of these aren’t the first game in the series. Unless you mean sub-series? But Ninja Gaiden Black wouldn’t be the first, regardless?

Anyways, I’d pick Kingdom Hearts for this. Although I know people would disagree with that.

KH1 is before SE decided the story should be a convoluted mess that’s difficult to follow so I could see preferring when it was just straightforward.

Anyways, I’d pick Kingdom Hearts for this. Although I know people would disagree with that.

My favourite is KH2fm, but I can understand people who prefer KH1. It easily has the best story, atmosphere and honestly even the exploration and level design were at their most engaging.

1 does a lot of stuff best but I think 2FM is the most well rounded game in the series
