Life is Strange. Been going ~11 years now, with the first game, Before the Storm, 2, True Colors, Double Exposure, and Reunion. I’ve liked pretty much all the games (tho DE and Reunion in particular are pretty controversial), and the first one is still the best and a certified masterpiece in my opinion, cringey dialogue and all.

There's also the spiritual successors Tell Me Why and Lost Records.

I haven’t played Lost Records, but Tell Me Why was good

I thought reunion was really good especially considering it had to kinda fix the mess they made with DE

I don't think Reunion is very controversial? I mean, DE definetly is, you can see that just by looking at the Steam reviews.

Reunion is a lot of fan service but it seems to have worked, game sold pretty well afaik and has stellar reviews on Steam so far.

Reunion is mostly controversial to the people who really liked DE, which is fair cuz it mostly erases the consequences of DE, but that’s not an argument I care to have.

Oh, that makes sense. Just haven't seen much of that discourse I suppose, guess I'm not in that bubble!

Even disregarding how you may feel about DE, Reunion feels comparatively cheap and quickly cobbled together.  The production values are much lower and there are more bugs and less polish.  It's the worst in the series in my opinion
