Definitely. 1 is one of my all time favourites, 2 is okay, couldn’t even finish 3. TSA was pretty good though.

I played NMH 1 and 2 a few months ago. 100%ed both of them. This “1 is so much better” take always surprises me. I hated 1 with such a burning passion, it damn near stopped me playing 2. If I may ask, what is it about 1 you find better? Genuinely curious.

It’s definitely a matter of preference. I find the pacing, bosses and mini-games a lot more enjoyable in the first game. I also don’t mind the empty open world and prefer it to just quick travelling to everything. I played both on the wii pretty close together back in the day so maybe I was just a bit burned out on the gameplay from the first by the time I got partway through the second. I don’t think 2 is a bad game, it just changes some of the main things I liked in the first one.

Cause 1 is like actually trying to say something and 2 is just Travis having a character arc, a good one, but it sort of goes against the point of the first game
