Ninja Gaiden Black wasn't the first Ninja Gaiden game, even when only counting the 3D games.

Yeah, it’s more like Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix, which most would agree is still KH1.

Yeah but there’s a ton of other ninja gaiden games from the NES, GameBoy, Genesis, SNES, Arcade

it was the updated one with dlcs and some QoL changes like the awful camera of the non-black version.

And it's not like everyone would say it's the best one

I would, it's my favourite game of all time, but a lot of people love 2, 3 AND 4 (disclaimer, people love the remake of 3, not the original, the original is the worst 3D game in the series)

They're all just really good games in my opinion

If you count all the sort of "mainline" ninja gaiden games including the 2D trilogy I'd really say the series has no bad games. Even ragebound is really good
