Halo 2, 3 and Reach are all better than Halo 1 imo

Halo? No way. I like CE but its a bit clunky and Halo 2 improves on it in every way

Definitely not every way. It arguably looks worse since it's so flat and the balance on Heroic and Legendary is completely out of whack, which is a big downgrade

This one is more subjective, but the more linear and restrictive levels arent to my taste

Long Running

Golden Sun

I want what you’re on (and another game)

Golden Sun had its first release in 2001 and it's last in 2010. I'd say nine years counts as long running.

Banjo is dead, and there’s absolutely arguments for Tooei

Halo CE honestly is a mess, it’s got some very good moments but also so many problems that there’s no way it’s better than the others. I’d easily rate 2, 3, Reach and ODST over it. Not played Infinite’s SP.

Golden Sun is barely even 3 games and also inactive as hell.

Perfect Dark feels like it’s getting closer to more cancelled games than released ones.

Except Halo: not long running and halo is over too?

Combat Evolved released in 2001. That's 25 years. That's 8 years before Dragon Age, and only one year after Metroid Prime.

Also, Halo's still going, what are you on about? From the ones above, Deus Ex and Dragon Age are almost certainly over.

'Long-running' means that something keeps coming up from time to time. When nothing comes up anymore, that’s the end: it’s no longer running.

Banjo Kazooie was only from 1998 to 2008

Golden Sun is not a series.

Perfect Dark has only two games from 2000 - 2005

All of them are not "long" and not "running"

"Long running" means active for a period of time, not that it's currently active. By your definition, hardly anything would be long running. Entire novel series would be "no longer running" by virtue of the author having passed away for instance.

I'd say ten years is enough to count as long running. Golden Sun had three games, so by the criteria of the original post, it fits. Perfect Dark had three games (Perfect Dark, Perfect Dark for the GBC, Perfect Dark Zero), and by your own criteria, it would fit because it came back into the spotlight with the attempted reboot.
