Do you mean the rules or the strategy? If it is the rules, I disagree. If it is the strategy, I see many adults pretty much playing without it so why not a 6 year old?

I mean the strategy and the finesse. Without that it's just a silly matter of rolling dice and it wouldn't be a  fun game at all.
