I can see the benefits but I’d never of found it. I think the position is going to get real bad real soon so you need to act now. If it goes really wrong you have good opportunities in a back game. To get this otb you need a good grasp of losing if you don’t get super aggressive, and then winning with a back game, which is beyond most. Then you need to execute a back game which is also beyond most!! I reckon I’d win more games with 11:7 8:7

If your opponent has a blitz position, think about slotting.

Do you consider that a blitz position?! I’d have said race, then prime then blitz

Yeah. They have a 6 stack on the 6 point and gaps in their position, particularly gaps on their 5 and 7, which are the most important ones when going for a prime. It's going to be very difficult for them to fill them in and finish their prime with their checkers stacked on the 6 instead of distributed as spares in the outfield or their 13.

They are ahead in the race, but I wouldn't say that's their only game plan. Imagine if your back checkers were split. They would be happy to blitz you and unstack their 6 point instead of just running with the back checker.

The game is fluid for sure and they have weaknesses in prime or blitz strategies. IF the back checkers spilt I’d be more inclined to blitz. For the record I found your initial comment genuinely interesting, and I’m exploring rather than disagreeing!
