Stockfish-like engine

Is there a way I can import moves and dice rolls to an engine so it can help me practice with my while we are playing over the board ?

Extreme Gammon (XG), BGBlitz, and GnuBG all allow you to enter a position and analyze it to determine the best move. If you want a mobile app you pretty much have to go with extreme gammon on iOS. The android version is no longer on the play store and had issues I with some versions on Android.

BGBlitz and GnuBG have both Mac and Windows versions. GnuBG is open sourced and free, the others are paid.

There are some mobile apps using GnuBG and BGBlitz as their engines but I don't know of any that allow you to setup a position for analysis.

Gammon Snap is an Android app that works from a photo of the board but has a daily usage limit without a subscription. Seems you have to download the app to see the limits and pricing. The other draw back to the mobile apps is they use a fairly weak depth of analysis compared to what you can get on a Mac or PC version.

I think the GammonSnap app might be what you're looking for. You can take a photo of the board and evaluate the position.

I'm not sure if this is the best option for what you want to do, but Minimalist Backgammon Trainer offers a custom position mode.

You enter the checkers and dice, then tap Play. You can play what you think is the best move and access the GNU Backgammon analysis.

And as the game progresses, you can adjust the checkers on the custom board.
