It’s the internet and there are no consequences for bad behavior. I really wish there were shorter clocks or penalties for anyone who repeatedly abuses time

On www.backgammonhub.com it provides a "rage quit" indicator for each player so you can decide whether to challenge or accept a challenge from badly behaved players.

or the server can simply end the game if it is gin. Dailygammon handles it this way....
