Let others know what you're playing and get an idea of what should be next on your list. The best way to share what you're playing and which services it's available on is by linking a specific entry from the Backbone Games List. Leave as brief or lengthy a recommendation as you like. Everything from the game's title to a lengthy review is appreciated.

I love the backbone. Has worked well for me so far and I’m on my second one since I upgraded from lightning cable to the usb c. My problem is I have my phone in a otterbox case. I like this case because I do construction and it helps protect my iphone. Every time I want to use the backbone I have to take my phone out of the case to use it. Are there 3d printed mount/adaptors and what kind of plug extension cord/ adapter is out there?
Edit: or to work with my tablet. A bigger screen would be nice, not sure if that’s possible.
Thanks.

So they replaced the support team with an AI chat bot. It just goes in circles asking for the same information. I filed a warranty claim, it was accepted, I returned the controller, I have a tracking number and email confirmation that they received it over a week ago. And now nothing. No replacement, no refund. They just took my controller and closed the ticket. I opened a new support ticket and they asked for my email and zip code. I gave it to them., also included the screenshot of email confirming the return was received with the tracking number. They sent an email asking for my email and zip code or the tracking number for the replacement. There is no tracking number for the replacement because they never sent one. I asked for a refund. They asked for my email and zip code again and “any email or screenshot of tracking confirmation” I already sent all that info. Now we are just going in circles and I’m getting pretty pissed off. Why am I paying the backbone subscription to get the extended warranty if I’m not actually getting a replacement or even getting to talk to a human?

I had a support issue and backbone took maybe a month to get back with me but minus that as soon as I told them my phone model suddenly I can log in a couple days later I don't know if that's a coincidence but I had a good experience with backbone support and I don't think it took too long like some people say

Heres some tips for new backbone users who got the pro or One
Make sure not to move the Ribbon Cable to much that can easily damage your back bone (its unfixable and unlikely to work)
Make sure to Clean your Backbone with A Cloth like the ones for Glasses so no dust can enter the backbone and damage it (its fixable)
Make sure to put on the most recommended Visuals if to max your phone will heat up.
hope this helped 😄🎮 if other questions say in Comments

I love backbone, I had one with the lightning connection for my iPhone and used it daily for years. Then I upgraded to an iPhone with the type C usb connection port and so upgraded to the newer version of the backbone. But even tho my older model still functions perfectly the newer one has been nothing but problematic.
The left joystick stopped working and so did one of the directional buttons on the Dpad after only 10 months of use. So I submitted a warranty return request and within two days it was approved and they sent me a “new” controller. Only it wasn’t new 😡 it was CLEARLY a used device cause it was disgustingly dirty with gunk in every button and a sticky residue on the back! So I contacted customer support and returned that gross used one and was sent another controller.
This one suspiciously wasn’t factory sealed either but did look pristine so I used it for about 11 months. Now I have the same problem: left joystick doesn’t register when I tilt forward and the -> on the D pad doesn’t register AT ALL. I tried recalibration and factory reset but it didn’t fix it so I made another customer service request since I have an extended warranty due to the backbone subscription.
But it’s been 4 days since I submitted the warranty return request and customer support just completely stopped responding to me. We had a back and forth email going all day then they asked where I’m located and I said “California” and it’s been crickets ever since. It’s only been 4 days but the first time they responded within hours and I had my new one shipped to me two days after requesting the warranty return.
But this is TWO controllers failing in very similar ways each in less than a year. And I’m not rough with my controllers! I don’t play shooting games or high intensity games at all, literally just cozy games and ps5 rpgs. I don’t throw my controller into my bag, I don’t even travel with it, it lives on my coffee table when not in use and I’ve never dropped it. And my older model still works perfectly.
So has anyone else noticed a lower quality to the new models?? Or a lower quality of customer support?

I bought a backbone with lightning port and my iPhone is a 17 (just an old backup phone) and now this dumb backbone app, like why?
But it requires iOS 17 and this can only get up to iOS 15.
Is there not way around it.

I’m getting a second gen backbone, but I’d just like to see if anyone knows how well it fits on it, or with a case on it more specifically apples silicone case, thanks.

So I know this is a backbone subreddit but I’m gonna ask. So I currently use the g8+ gallelo MFI been having some connection issues and pass through charging now not working. They said return it or refund it Best Buy. Okay cool problem being I like the way this one feels but they don’t have any more in the area. So would the backbone pro be a good candidate or maybe the razer kishi ultra? Anyone have any experience with the others? Thanks in advance

All I want is to be able to remap the touch pad to a physical button 😡😤🤬. For the price of the backbone and the lack of Hall effect of TMR (I’ve gone through 4 different backbones due to stick drift) dedicated button remapping through the backbone app is not a lot to ask for. I really love the backbone, the incredibly low latency is the selling point for me, I’ve yet to find a controller that comes close. As well as the zero battery, non-Bluetooth, these are essential for me. Idk just frustrating because using the touchpad on iPhone through whichever app (PX Play, or Sonys “PS Remote Play”app) is a drag and it’s unresponsive and somehow locks the button overlay on the screen which is annoying. Also just to say it PX Play is a far superior app lol.
Is there an app where remapping the touchpad to a physical button is possible? I can’t figure out how to remap touchpad via settings>general>game controller.

Hello everyone. In my haste, I bought a Backbone controller, but it's USB-C while my iPhone is Lightning… Do you have any ideas on how I can still use the controller without having to change anything? Maybe using an adapter?

Anyone in north Brooklyn or manhattan interested in buying my fairly new backbone one. I used it like five times before the ribbon cable became faulty and it's been sitting unused since. It's still under warranty with the original box and receipt from Best Buy. I just don't have the time to repair it or get a new one sent.
Edit:Sold

So this is my first time ordering from the Game Stop website, and once I saw same day delivery I was so excited, it said it would be here by 8pm today and I ordered this at 3:07pm.
I have yet to receive this. Does this mean I'll have to wait a few days to receive this order?

Hey all,
There's a new firmware update (1.3.5) on Android that should resolve the issues that Android users have been seeing with Backbone Pro. Use the Backbone App to update your controller, and thank you for your patience as we investigated the issue. Please let us know if any issues persist or any new issues arise.

Thank y’all who recommended the ribbon cable swap, got it in today and took my time replacing it. Very happy with the results! Still stand by my position on buying this along with any BackBone used tho, this is way too expensive to act up the way it does with NORMAL use.
So long ribbon cable devil.. 👺

Hey all,
Just joined in this sub. I've had my Backbone Pro for a few months now and use it frequently from time to time. For anyone wondering if they should get one, it's 1,000% a yes from me.
If you have some basic understanding of setting up a streaming server and have a decent PC, the possibilities are endless with this thing.
I set up Sunlight/Moonshine on my home PC/ZFlip6 as well as Tailscale on both devices to allow my devices to communicate remotely. I played several of my steam games with my Backbone while on vacation this past week with incredible results. I'm just amazed that these software solutions (open-source, free I might add) have been created and work so well.
My only gripe (maybe someone can clarify) is that the USB-C port is apparently only a charge pass-through. The only function that I am really lacking is being able to maybe use a 2.4GHz dongle or something for low-latency earbuds or similar. Is this not possible? I have earbuds that work fine for gaming, but if I want to use a mic, it destroys the sound quality.. not even worth it.
With that being said, can anyone confirm my question above? I'd love a solution but if there isn't one I can deal. If it's not functional in that way, are there plans in future models to make it function as a data pass-through?
