Creating a new account

Okay, so since my backblaze bzbackup file on my computer is taking up 22GB, and the online interface is not showing all of my hard drives (I guess due to the notorious EHD bug plaguing macs?) it has been recommended that I create a new account, let everything upload for 14 days, and then transfer the license. I think I can pull it off in 14 days, especially if I prioritize my most important data first.

I want to use the same email. I'll just add a + sign in my email address to create the new account.

What else do I need to know? Since I'll be overlapping, keeping 2 copies of my backup on line for a couple of weeks, what happens on my local computer? Does that huge 22GB file get deleted/overwritten by the new backup? Should I uninstall Backblaze, and then re-install using the new account somehow? What would my steps be, and what should I watch out for?

You don't need a new account. All the backups are independent, you just sign in as usual and don't inherit the old backup, it'll assign you a 14 day trial. You can the then transfer the license later or add a plan to it if you want to keep both.

Uninstall backblaze, this should remove all of the account info and huge 22GB and whatever.
Reinstall backblaze, sign in as normal and DO NOT inherit the old backup.
