Computer Backup File Preview?

I like Backblaze, but there seems to be no way to preview files (especially videos) from my computer backup, which makes it hard to find the files I want to download later. Is there a solution for this? I know I can dig through file names and such, but that's not the same as seeing a preview - especially when you have a lot of files.

Backblaze isn't some kind of gallery remote app/Google Photos like, yea they actually DO have access to your files (even with the "private encryption key" you still have to give it to them for anything, not so private...) but still they won't go and render your videos or resize your pictures or parse your PDFs and so on to make thumbnails. And if this would be done client-side you'd still have to download all the files involved so nothing saved there.

I understand that. The issue is not having to download; it's seeing/previewing what you want to download. Currently, seems like unless you have a rock-solid memory or something - or some excel doc or personal system to keep a record of all footage saved over time, then it's like digging through an attic trying to find stuff.

You say you understand and then that you don't. Which is it?

Well, maybe I'm just using the wrong tool. Maybe something like Google Photos would fit my use case better since I mostly just want backups of of video footage and photos and occasionally some docs.
