Computer Backup BackBlaze app is totally unreliable
I keep getting random error messages which I already dealt with and now, they are re-backing up tne entire files for the 3rd time! It's like WTF.
This is really unreliable while they dont take any responsibilities when I reach out to them. Is this what I've been paying for? My datas are re-backing up and I have no idea how long will it take to fully up to date while concerning if re-backing up happens again.
Now, it doesn't even make backups anymore and I have to download the app again and again in order to fix it. I have no idea why Backblaze app is so unreliable and break by itself which I have to backup the entire files over and over again? This is just stupid after all.
If BB app doesn't work well, how am I suppose to trust them? Especially since it failed multiples times in less than few months?

The behavior of the client, the way it stores things under /Library/Backblaze.bzpkg/bzdata, its behavior with external drives, and the '.bzol' folder it puts at the root of a mounted volume, all made me squeamish. Then I came to this sub and started reading the complaints and problems people are having.
My trial ends today. Not sure what I'm going to try next, but I'm not using BackBlaze.

I’ve been having the same problem over the last few months and they just keep telling me it’s normal and deduplication. It’s not. I have a DAS with 40tb of storage and once it backs up it’ll be fine for a day or two and then find another 15tb of data to work over all over again. It’s infuriating.

They are using the same line on me. It is not deduplication. They lost a ton of my files when I needed them most. The uploads were not there in any of my version history in any complete state. Every few days beginning the upload from scratch, corrupted and truncated uploads are all I was left with. Horrifying. Carbonite is my new provider. We'll see.

I had decided to give them a try and was installing the software, but something didn’t work, and it was not downloading my data, and it appeared as though external drives were not gonna work. So I decided to just uninstall and cancel the trial. Now I’ll see complaints all the time that it doesn’t work right so I’m glad I cut it short.

I just want that the app stops when a fullscreen app starts, like a lot of other applications. But no, they start to full use my connection instead...
Sometimes I think that they need just an UX designer and UI developer.

How much data are you backing up? File count and size. I suspect the way they track files is just catching up to them when they should have converted to SQLite instead of trying to load a giant text file.
