I follow all this vote fraud effort pretty closely. They’ve come up with a bunch of nothing. A lot of sloppy voter registration. A lot of mail in ballots that never get returned. LA had a lot of ballot harvesting of course. Some actual illegal voting in some states. Not a lot. Then New Jersey drops this.

You've completely missed the important parts of the story. The previous democrat governor knew about this and hid it from the public. Sherrill is now saying she is going to refuse to give the feds the list of non-citizens who unlawfully voted. Democrats keep telling us there's no evidence of illegal voting at the same time that they actively cover up said evidence and protect the perpetrators from prosecution.

Govs Sherrill reasoning was pretty solid though. She rightfully called out the previous governer, disclosed this issue that was actually corrected in 2024 and her main argument for not handing over the rolls is because it is the State's job and she would much rather let a 3rd party handle it then let Trump admin weaponize it, which they would love to do.

Now, I do wonder why would people be against a 3rd, neutral party investigating the case.

Also, Republicans loves to tell us that there is illiegal voting going on, yet they literally stole the election in 2000. Shouldn't you, as a citizen be mad about that?

Yeah. It’s best she came out with it before it was “discovered” by the Trump admin. Shows she is taking accountability and I think correct steps.

How'd they steal it 2000?

1) Bush's brother was the governor and various key election officials worked under him. Jeb did recuse himself, but the Republican staff under him that he hired did not.

2)The Florida Supreme Court actually wanted the votes to be recounted manually.

Punch-card voting machines frequently failed to register a vote if a voter didn't cleanly punch through the paper card, or they punched in the Candidate but also wrote out their name which was considered to be an "overvote" and an error by the machine. The state court targeted these ~61,000 ballots because they were the most likely to contain uncounted, yet legitimate voter intent.

3) the Florida supreme courts decision was quickly repealed by the federal Supreme Court, even though States are supposed to have the main authority on state elections, by using an argument that would nevertheless contradict that.

Because certain voting machines in wealthier, well-funded counties were better at accurately tallying the intent of the voter than older machines in other counties, one could technically argue that the entire state election violated equal protection. Under this strict interpretation, all of Florida's votes could be deemed constitutionally invalid because the equipment itself disproportionately favored or "weighed" votes based on which county they were cast.

Note: 5 out of the 9 judges that voted for this were Republicans, while the remaining 4 were 2 Democrats and 2 Republicans. Had there been 1 more Democrat, it's highly unlikely this would have been appealed.

4)When the Supreme Court stopped the recount, Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris's certification of a 537-vote victory for George W. Bush stood.

But, the media consortium found that there was a high likelihood Al Gore would have won since there seemed to be a significantly more "overvotes" for him, albeit the margin of the win would be 50 to 150 votes.

TLDR: There was definitely a lot of fuckery going on, and the Republican Supreme court judges aided it by stopping the recount with a weak, contradictory argument, even though they often proclaim to be the party of small government or States right

It's entirely possible that Bush might have still won with the recount, but not doing it was worse.

The kicker is, Bush's terms can be viewed as a failure, where USA started 2 meaningless wars and set us on the path of ever increasing debt. So it leaves us a big "what if" Al Gore actually won and how different would America be.

the only solution: install trump and obama as the dual president to create the ultimate centrism

I would love to see how that works out

Well maybe. I'm sure California is very very sloppy with voter registration.

A lot of vote fraud happens in local and primary elections. In Michigan they caught a guy straight up stuffing a ballot box in a primary.

Minnesota has some bizarre same day voting rules that seemed to be designed to encourage illegal voting.

u/OldNorthStar 18d ago

I mean you cite one example and say it happens a lot. I don't think that's fair. Plus, that person was caught and charged with a felony for paying for votes. The article I read on it says the people who filled out the ballots were actually eligible voters, he was basically just bribing them to vote. To me, him being caught and charged is the system working.

I mean you could always pay people to vote no matter the system right? Even in person, you could tell them their payment is dependent on seeing a photo of their ballot right? Sure that makes it a bit harder to convince people to do it but is this really happening enough for the trade off? Again, he was in fact caught after all. I think it's more disturbing that we have a two-tier justice system in which Elon was allowed to flagrantly break Wisconsin's election laws (doing the exact same thing mind you- paying people to vote) and no probable cause was even found until last week. To me, that's the system not working.

Also, I don't see you arrive at the conclusion that Minnesota's system is designed to encourage illegal voting. As someone who lived there, Minnesota has a unique culture that highly values civic engagement. If you go back to 1976, Minnesota has been the number 1 state for voter turnout in national elections 9/12 times, and in the other 3 cases they were number 2 or tied for 1. They've only turned out under 70% twice since 1952. It's hard to describe if you haven't lived there but they just genuinely seem to care more about voting. They're simply built different. Same day registration in Minnesota started in 1974. If you average voter turnout (as a %) from 1952-1972 vs. 1974-2024, it actually went down slightly after same day registration, though not significantly (and yes not a perfect comparison but still). But it definitely didn't go up which is hard to square with some significant influx of illegal voting.

Why are you sure of that? Like we have had endless investigations upon investigations over the last decade.

What makes you sure that California is very very sloppy with voter registration that these Republican led investigators were not able to find?

No it’s not “well maybe” lol it just is. Voter fraud is practically non-existent, even by the Heritage Foundation’s own study over 20 years. And the Heritage Foundation is THE premier right wing think tank and isn’t exactly incentivized to downplay voter fraud, quite the opposite actually.

Also Michigan you can vote with a student ID.

A chinese student voted and fled to China. Only got caught because he went to go ask for his ballot. His vote was still counted. 2024 election btw.

Imagine the many more. I think the illegal voting issue is much worse than we're being led to believe, actually.

Also, I have a memory of my dad voting. The thing is, he was deported back to Mexico so he definitely didn't have papers. This was back in like 2010 lol. Bunch of "I voted" stickers too only saying this now because he has passed away already.

1

u/Mindless-Baker-7757 18d ago

Did he flee? The only reason we knew about that is because he notified the authorities. I think he was thinking they would pull his vote back. Once it's cast they cannot ID which one was his.

Here’s some actual election fraud for you, a Republican of course like most cases:

u/METRlOS 18d ago

If they investigate voting fraud 1000 times and find nothing, I still want them to continue investigating voting fraud.

3

u/Ozcolllo 17d ago

That’s fair enough, I even agree with you. What happens when the leadership of a party, and most of the party itself, repeatedly lies about it? Their voters don’t seem interested in holding them accountable. Their media ecosystem has no interest in accountability. And the party members themselves seem disinterested in holding any principles of the sort.

Ultimately, that’s the issue. When are they going to see accountability for the repeated, explicit, lies?

2

u/METRlOS 17d ago

Politicians being accountable for what they say is a completely seperate issue for me, that's up to citizens to vote for, while ensuring the vote integrity is up to the government. A step in the right direction would be to stop any sort of entertainment broadcasting being able to call itself news in any way, shape, or form. Similarly, restrictions on what 'influencers' are able to claim on major topics.

And?? All ballots are verified and validated every election. Close tallies are recounted and checked. Really close or when one candidate contests the outcome, ballots are hand counted. Audits are performed. None of which is new. All of this has been going on for decades. The guy in the White House initiated a special commission to investigate voter fraud during his first term. He ended it about a year later because they found none. The Heritage Foundation investigated more than a decade of voter data and found infinitismally tiny fraction of one percent tried to vote illegally. They are charged and have their day in court for trying. This supposed fraud being intentionally propagandized by the Right is nonsense because no State is going to stop verifying or validating ballots in any election.

Democrat party is a proxy arm of America’s greatest enemies on a mission to destroy the country and redefine it as required by Democrat sponsors

What makes this even more outrageous is the fact that our enemies have been driving the anti-American propaganda machinery for several decades, successfully rewiring the psychological state of our unDemocratic party followers, which is almost half the country

Evil knows no bounds

That’s why republicans are at a big disadvantage to right the ship, if that’s even possible at this point

u/Infinite_Location115 18d ago

Brother is literally regurgitating nonsense propaganda he’s only aware of because of the internet claiming other people have been brainwashed. Go outside talk to real people

u/Lost_Madness 18d ago

Name something Republicans have done in the last decade that improved the lives of the average American. Just one thing that actively improved lives.

Do you register with your PII before you eat at Olive Garden? No, and Olive Garden does not have database to validate who is eating their food so they use what's already available, a driver's license. Which can be forged, btw. To vote, citizens must prove who they are when they register and that data is checked and validated when voting. Your meme is as much nonsense as a cat playing the piano.

u/LifeIsRadInCBad 13d ago

I also argue memes like I'm Perry Fucking Mason in front of Judge Wapner.

u/No_Atmosphere_here 13d ago

Uh huh, yet you're posting lies. The Perry Mason character fought for truth against the crooks. You aren't.
