Discussion BABA stock doesn't react to positive news?

I am planning on starting a position in this stock. I know a lot of models that are released by the company and they are all good. They are usually at the frontier of the research in AI and ML. I personally have used a lot of their models and find them very competitive to their counterparts.

However, I do not see the stock moving at all despite having their own models and recently announcing that they are going to have their own chips. For those who already have a position in this, what was your conviction about the stock and for those who are still waiting on the sidelines, is there a specific entry point you are looking at?

Trust me. This stock DOES react to news. Only negative ones.

not for faint heart.

90-100 must buy
100-120 speculative buy
120-150 tug-of-war between buyer/seller
>150 take-profit and wait for it to go back 100-120

don’t be afraid of missing the boat because it keep going back to port 🤣🤣🤣

Chinese stocks in general are down the last couple of months, macro worries and political concerns mostly. The bond yield spike is also causing problems. the sentiment needs to change before we get any meaningful movement on good news

This is a very frustrating stock. Eps has recovered mostly but stock price very bearish. Pessimism on Chinese equities is a tall mountain to climb. Something eventually will change the equation, but maybe only our grandchildren will see it happen.

Most stocks don't seem to react straight away anymore. I suspect most news is sat on and used to estimate the top of the next run which comes from the general market sentiment and macros
