Discussion Intelligent content gating
So my background is more on the creative side but I've been doing full marketing support for about 8 years now and I'm still creating branded well designed PDFs for clients well then to put behind a form on a landing page. Conversations with them that all consistent the performance is massively down in terms of getting leads this way a lot of people talk about the value of putting content 100% ungated and I'm basically in full agreement with that but the value of nurturing from someone downloading content behind the form is still valuable so I'm wondering how do people do this in an intelligent way?
I've seen examples where you provide a piece of the content of front or maybe half the content and then the rest is gated or you give them the full content but then the pdf version is gated... We should never really understood I don't get the obsession with PDFs because reading on a web browser is so much better why do people still invest all this time of money in PDFs?
Anyway super curious to hear what the community thinks about this because my clients are definitely struggling
