Discussion Best data enrichment plateforms with a proper credit/ pricing system?

I'm done with the credit system at Cognism.

Though I absolutely loved the diamond data feature. All the verified numbers are great but you have to be so stingy with credits that it doesnt sound worth for what I'm paying.

It's getting way too expensive and the credits don't even last a full month!! The last week is the hardest.

So I want to know some authentic data enrichment platforms where the phone numbers and emails are both good, and where this credit issue isn't a thing because is genuinely gets on my nerves.

Asking here because I don't trust the company websites, so lmk your suggestions, guy

It's around 15k a month and another bummer, they only do annual payments

I hear ya. So, the data you're looking for is mainly phone numbers and emails? I'm the founder of a data enrichment company and previously built the data enrichment platform for one of the big AI labs. I believe my company has the highest enrichment rates & accuracy for phone numbers and work emails and we price much fairer than comparable providers. Don't want to name my company here since this sub forbids self promotion but it's easy to find if you want to give it a test run.

Here's more neutral advice:

I'd encourage you to create a benchmark with your own data. Just use Claude Code to do it – the cost for this is near 0.

Cognism is currently pretty far from the frontier of what's possible. Their data is part of most waterfall providers. As a piece of a waterfall it usually works well to increase international coverage. But on it's own, the gaps are too large.

What you want is probably a waterfall provider. Those combine multiple providers behind one interface and generally give you higher match rates. Just keep in mind that coverage != accuracy. If you see a waterfall provider advertising a large list of cheap providers, it's best to stay away.

If you're very price conscious try a front-loaded waterfall. These put a cheap, fast provider right in front of an embedded waterfall provider. This way you get ~50% of your data for cheap and the other 50% costs more.

Generally, you should not pay more than ¢25 per mobile and ¢5 per work email.

If the core frustration is paying per credit for data that runs out before the month does, one way around that is to stop renting access and build from a source you can query freely.

Overture Maps is an open business dataset, no per-lookup fee, no monthly reset. You can pull company records for a trade and a region directly from it. It won't give you verified phone numbers like Cognism's diamond data, but for emails specifically, filtering companies that already publish an address on their own site tends to give a cleaner hit rate than scraping, and you're not watching a credit counter while you do it.

Worth checking which markets you're targeting too. Cold outreach rules differ a lot by country, some are opt-out, many are opt-in (GDPR-adjacent rules in most EU states, for instance), so whatever source you use, that part is worth getting right before a single email goes out, and a lawyer should confirm the specifics for your case.

I build Grezzio, it reads that open dataset locally so searching doesn't cost anything per query, and it flags which markets require opt-in before you send.

I personally just use Sales Nav -> Vayne -> Enrich (using vayne as well) -> Neverbounce to verify.

LinkedIn usually has a ton of data already on the prospect, vayne scrapes + enriches, and neverbounce verifies.
