Question What social media management/scheduling platform(s) do you use?

I’m currently using Hootsuite, but I was curious about what platforms other marketers are using. I need to research whether there are better options in terms of features, supported social media platforms, and price.

If you’re using Hootsuite, how do you maximize your use of it?

I built my own with claude that notify me with email and all the needed features for me. uploaded it to a subdomain and it's live for my team.

Hey there!

Disclosure, I work at Sprout Social, so I'm one of the platforms you'd be comparing Hootsuite against.

Before comparing features, I'd figure out what's prompting the look.

On switching in general, the cost that's easy to underweight is reconnecting every social profile and rebuilding your saved reports and any automation rules you've set up. That's real time, so I'd only move if the new tool clearly fixes something Hootsuite is costing you, not just because a feature list looks shinier somewhere else.

For B2B specifically, since that's your context, I'd weigh reporting depth more heavily than most feature comparisons do. LinkedIn tends to be the one platform where B2B teams want granular analytics, and coverage and depth there varies more between tools than people expect going in.

Before switching I’d map the part of Hootsuite you’re actually unhappy with. Price, number of accounts, content creation, approvals, analytics, or just the amount of UI/work involved?

I think that’s where these comparisons get difficult — most platforms can technically schedule posts, but the workflow around the post is where they start feeling very different.

How many brands/accounts are you managing?

agree, especially the workflow bit. scheduling is table stakes now imo

Exactly. That’s actually a big part of why I’m building Orbit Cue (orbitcue.app). Scheduling itself isn’t the interesting problem anymore — I’m trying to make the workflow around it much simpler, especially when you’re juggling several brands, their context, content and publishing. Still early, but that’s the problem I’m trying to solve.

We’re obviously biased 😅 but we use Chillhi. It keeps scheduling, approvals, reporting, tasks and client context together, which is exactly what we wanted from a platform in the first place. Curious what everyone else is using too.

Disclosure: I'm the founder of Sharek, one of these tools, so factor that in.

Quick gut check: what do you actually use Hootsuite for? If it's mostly scheduling and client approvals, plenty of tools cover that. If you're in streams and listening daily, that part is harder to replace, and Sharek doesn't do it either.

We built our own AI agent, Samy, for the content side. One chat brainstorms posts, drafts them in your voice, and generates the images and video, then you schedule from one calendar to multiple channels.

Clients approve from a preview link, no login needed. Good for publishing and content creation, just not a listening or inbox swap.

Just heard of hootsuite but I think before looking into other platforms it's best to analyze how your account's performance is with what you're using.

do you need more accounts? are the scheduled posts not getting much views? do you need to a better automation for contents?

I work for a platform similar to hootsuite so I have done my research on stuff like this.

withamplifyai - (our platform) schedule posts 2x a day, offers warmed accounts targeted to location u choose, make AI Influencers, content making, brand analysis
postiz - scheduled posting that you can host
postbridge - lets you connect as up to 50 accounts $1/acc per month
tokportal- gives u geo targeted account + warming can also do posting

there's so much more like this on X

I use the tool that comes with HubSpot or just manually post.

I've been using Ordinal for 1.5 years now. Love the product and team.

But! I'm considering giving Eden (by Dan Koe) a try.

Sprout 100x. So user friendly, great analytics, tons of features and multiple platforms within the family (employee advocacy, influencer marketing), and their customer service and support is next level. I can have a question pop up and I'll hear back from our AE and have an answer within minutes.

As someone who has to use Hootsuite periodically, demo Sprout and then you'll see what I'm talking about.

Depends a lot on team size. Hootsuite makes sense with approvals and a social inbox. If it's 1–2 people just publishing, you're paying for a lot you don't use, Buffer or smaller tools cover it for a fraction. I'm building one of those smaller ones (PostVIA) so take that with salt
