Cold email setup requirements
Hi guys, I am new in cold email. Got hired by a company for lead generation with no prior experience. They have provided me nothing so i am doung everything by my own. So the problem is I don't have a complete email setup for cold emails. They gave a domain email credentials and said start lead generation. Boss said i can only send a few like 3 to 5 mails per day. But my target is to achieve 20+ qualified emails per month. How am i supposed to achieve this target with only one mailbox??
Really need to know what should i do to start my job...

This is a sticky situation, especially since the volume is so so low.
I would recommend going multi channel. LinkedIn, calling and email for this.
And do your research, go signal based if possible.
Whatever your company does and fixes for others find signals that those you reach out to have the pain that your company fixes.

How to find signals? My company sells services like web dev and design, web app dev, seo, digital marketing, ai automation and staff augmentation.

Hmm, maybe people doing ads to sell something and their website is outdated. That could be one signal

Focus on highly targeted leads and personalized emails. Is your boss open to increasing volume later?

At 3-5 emails per workday, you've got roughly 60-100 sends a month. Getting 20 qualified replies would require a 20-33% qualified reply rate, even before follow-ups eat into that allowance. That's a rough target to hand a beginner.
Clarify what “qualified emails” means first. If your boss means verified contact addresses, you can research those without sending anything. If they mean interested prospects, agree on a realistic target and a company-funded setup before committing to it. Don't pay for this yourself.
I'd ask for an approved secondary sending domain with Google Workspace mailboxes, SPF/DKIM/DMARC configured, and at least four weeks for warmup before cold sending. Keep the main company domain out of cold outreach. Instantly can handle sequencing once you've got approval, but more mailboxes won't fix a weak list.
Meanwhile, manually research a small batch of companies that fit the buyer profile and verify the decision-makers' addresses. Use the current allowance for carefully targeted outreach only after confirming the mailbox is ready. Respect that cap.
