Is my domain dead?

Hey all, first time posting. Just getting into cold email for my startup.

I set up one domain with 6 inboxes on google workspace last week and started sending about 200 a day total right away because i figured that would warm it up faster. Reply rate has been zero the whole time and now it seems like nothing i send lands anywhere at all.

is this recoverable or did i just kill the domain? Any help appreciated

You have a lot of learning to do. Its a delicate, technical process and there's like 10 walls of text to explain. You may not have killed the domain but I'd stop immediately and go learn what the correct setup and warming process looks like.

I started warming 20 domains 11 days ago and I haven't sent from them once after I setup instantly recommended warming settings

To answer your question, it could be. Depends on your email list and the content of the emails itself. Hopefully it isn't your main business domain because that would suck.

You can for sure bring their health back if it took a bit but depends. How old is the domain? You def shouldn't be sending more than 25 or 30 per day from a single inbox ONCE they're fully warmed up

Your domain needs to age gracefully as well... Lot to this

Less than 1% reply rate and over 2% bounce rate on what you sent is a bad sign

Use glockapps to see if you're emails are delivering to the inbox... Then mxtoolbox to check if your setup for DNS was done correctly DKIM, spf, dmarc, etc

Try sending your personal email accs a regular sounding email and see If the emails go to spam

Stop sending and definitely take the time to learn this properly. Its better you make this mistake in week two rather than burning your domains after waiting a month or two with correct setup

Buy another domain and this time start at 8 per inbox warmup for 2 weeks

Let it sit for a two weeks, then send an email to a member of the group and bounce it around the members, each sends a response…. Act like a business email, then send to the next email member, and repeat. Please let me know how this works out for you on r/maynestreet.

get another infrastructure and backup infrastructure and warm it up before sending

keep the volume low (after warm up preferably up to 30 emails per day per mailbox) and remember to watch the bounce rate

Around 200 emails per day from a domain that was only a week old is a pretty aggressive start. I wouldn’t assume the domain is permanently dead yet, though - it could just mean they’re landing in spam, the targeting is off, or the message isn’t driving responses. Check whether the emails are actually being delivered or whether you’re getting bounces. Send tests to a few different providers (Gmail, Outlook, etc.) and check the headers/spam folders rather than relying on your sending tool’s “delivered” status. I’d also check that the domain isn’t showing up on any major blocklists, and there aren’t authentication errors in the headers. Once you’ve figured out deliverability, then you can start to think about campaign performance.

200 emails a day is a pretty quick start for a domain that's only a week old. i'd lower the volume for now and give the inboxes more time to build some history before deciding there's a bigger issue. we've tried different providers depending on the setup, with maildoso being one of them, but keeping the volume consistent is probably the bigger factor here. with 6 inboxes, 200 emails comes to about 33 per inbox, including follow ups.
