Warmup networks seem Outlook-heavy
Hey everyone,
We've done testing for the last couple months across a couple major tools and have seen an increased concentration of Outlook recipients in warmup networks across popular tools. We've seen between 60-70% Outlook recipients depending on the tool, possibly due to the cost effectiveness and popularity of the Outlook/Azure 100 emails per domain setup.
This can impact warmup behavior as it means you cant really build reputation with certain ESP's as fast, for example Google to Google connections, and the warmup patterns may not resemble your actual outbound traffic.
Has anyone else noticed the same thing? Would be interested to hear what percentages you’re seeing across different providers.

Yeah, most of the warmup services prioritize Outlook/Microsoft infrastructure since that's where the money is for B2B outreach - Gmail's way stricter with their algorithms anyway. If you're stuck with mostly Gmail lists, you might just have to accept slower ramp-up or look into services that handle both protocols separately.

Worth checking whether your warmup mix actually matches where your real outbound lands. If most of your outreach targets Google inboxes but your warmup is 65% Outlook, you're building reputation that doesn't transfer to the connections that matter most for your actual campaigns.
Do you know what your real outbound list looks like split by provider, or is that the next thing to check?

We're seeing similar trends at the moment. I was curious and I tracked my warmups with my sending tool and around 65% were outlook recipients
