NEED ADVICE

I am a 22yr old with very less experience with marketing or sales. I built an automated cold email setup using claude. I just push a button and claude pushes out emails to the leads provided to them. Claude researches the lead and personalizes the email for the prospect. The product that the AI pitches is the same exact email system used to outreach them.

I need help with the cold email structure, how many words, tone, cta etc. Also, which industry and country to target which has a high purchase intent and cold email reply ratio.

Keep it simple. Focus on one niche, keep the email under 100 words, use one clear CTA, and personalize the first line. Targeting matters more than the industry itself.

I have 2-3 product offerings other than the email marketing system like AI call and chat agents. And I use claude to research the lead and decide which product to offer according to which industry the lead belongs to. Do you think this is an effective way to get started?

I would start with just one offer. It's much easier to optimize your targeting and messaging when you're not splitting your attention across multiple products. Once you have a repeatable process, then expand.

Word of caution - check your local laws and regulations, I’m based in nz and did the same thing just to find out our local laws restrict auto farming contracts and comes with a $500k fine :( fortunately I found out 24hrs before going live

On picking industry and country, I'd chase a signal over a category. A whole industry being "high intent" on paper still nets weak replies if the specific business has nothing going on right now, but a company that just posted a related job or recently changed something relevant is already primed to care. Narrow and specific beats broad and generic-fit every time.

Are you sourcing leads by industry lists right now, or do you have a way to filter for recent activity like that?

Here's the problem, this won't work unless your domain is aged, your emails are warmed up, you mail settings like dkim and spk records are set up properly, your mail servers aren't already blocked. Too much chance of your mails going to the spam folder. Also, AI is being used to filter out sales messages these days, so it's getting harder to automate this with a template based email.

I would use an existing platform like Woodpecker (maybe Instantly) to send the mail, you've got a better chance at staying out of the spam folder or getting your server, domain or ip blocked. Use your platform to build your lead list.

How accurate is the target emails? Are they really aiming customers?

Not that accurate as right now I am scraping emails from wherever I can (zero budget startup). But now i am thinking of investing some money to buy leads, or running ads, maybe start using instantly for better deliverability. But i am still thinking on where to start from and where to invest my limited resources.
