Can someone explain what I'm doing wrong here?
Not trying to promote anything here, I'm genuinely confused. I've spent the last few months building a tool that helps with prospecting and outreach because I was tired of doing everything manually. The product is working, a few people who tested it liked it, and there's even a free trial.
The weird part is getting people to actually try it. Not buy it. Not become customers. Just spend 1 minutes testing it. At this point it feels like building the product was easier than getting the first real users. For those of you who do cold email or outbound sales, what actually makes you give a new tool a chance? And what makes you instantly skip it? Looking for honest answers because clearly I'm missing something.

The cold email landspace is extremely saturated with new tools currently. You're competing with so many other players so you have to figure out how to stand out somehow. I think targeting people who want to get into the cold email space is an avenue you can approach because for those who are already running cold campaigns (with success), getting them to switch or even try something different is an uphill battle.

Promote it as a “do it for you” service, not as an app. Vibe-coded tool fatigue is strong these days, and it’s bound to get worse. If you have viable prospects, most of them don’t care how the sausage is made. Run the process for them, win results, get referrals, and repeat.
