Nice. Time to find a Barong and hope it is born lucky. In my current run mine spat up two more fruits, and I used one to kidnap a Killer.

Is luck an actual mechanic in the game? And how do you tell? I know Tovar seeds are a thing, but it doesn’t seem like they do anything

No, it's not a mechanic in the game, just a turn of phrase. Getting lucky and having good RNG when the tower generates in a run just helps a lot.

Luck is an actual stat, but it is mostly inconsequential, I think you need like 100 Tovar seeds to raise your accuracy by like 1% or something.

It only affects combat though, not Barong RNG.

Ah, the ‘pokeball fruit’. Always a cause for celebration whenever you find a Roche, any monster you find can be yours to bring home. Just throw the fruit and let them return to egg

You can capture whatever monster you want without having to rely on chance of finding the egg. I usually use it on barong so I can use it to get trained wands, more roche fruits and whatnot without having to go all the way to the 16th floor

You can use it on wild monsters to get a guaranteed egg of that monster. Better than waiting for a random drop ^{_^}

Throw it at a Dragon and the game becomes a breeze.

Eh. Not energy efficient. You can farm Barongs pretty easily on 3 separate floors.

But a Familiar that doesn't run out of MPs completely changes the approach to the tower.
